Can't bind xref - are proxy objects the problem? Back to Topic Listing Previous Next. Filter by Lables. Message 1 of 4. We are unable to bind an xref and also have the proxy objects dialog popping up all the time. I've checked in the Knowledge Base and these proxy objects created in ADT appear to be the cause of our problems but the description of what to do is somewhat vague.
It reads: 1. First generate the block with all the entities and then generate the new file. Save the file. Replace the old xref with the new file, and then you will be able to bind the file with all the proxy objects. View Original Translate. English Original X. View Original X. By: Support. I'm assuming you have the Fabrication CADmep Object Enablers installed so you can see those proxies, but you probably will not be able to move them without having the actual application installed.
Well just a bit more information on what I was actually trying to accomplish with moving the objects that won't move Well I had imported them into Revit and naturally they were in the wrong place Go Figure so I had to xref a background into autoCAD and mark a common point then I had to import it back in to Revit with manual coordinates and was able to move everything right to where it needed to be what a process to figure out I guess there is more than one way to skin a cat!!
Kudos all. Notice: updates available for Apache Log4j vulnerabilities. See the security advisory on the Autodesk Trust Center for more information. AutoCAD Forum.
