NOTE: Administrative rights to the server are required to perform this solution. If necessary, contact your System Administrator as you may not have rights to delete local printers or stop the print spooler on the server. Both will affect all users printing through that server.

Home Support. From the server desktop: Open the Printers or Printers and Faxes window. See the Related Content section for additional information. Select the printer to be deleted, and then press [Delete] on the keyboard. Click on the [Start] button, click on [Settings], and then click on [Control Panel]. Alternatively, if the device uses Windows 8.

Right-click the printer driver, on the right side, and select the Delete option. Computer Management delete printer driver Click the Yes button. After you complete the steps, the printer driver will be uninstalled from the computer. You can remove and uninstall your printer and leftover printer driver or related apps from Control Panel using these steps. Ideally, if you used the Print Server properties method above, it should remove and uninstall the printer driver.

However, you can use the Print Management console to completely remove printers you no longer use, and their drivers. The Print Management dialog shows you the printers and current print jobs on your device. If you open the Add a printer page and find old printers still listed there, edit the registry to remove leftover entries.
